Risks

  • Sharp falls in crude oil prices - reflected by September crude down 6.82% to $83.22 and October Brent down 5.69% to $86.46 - introduce volatility for energy-related companies and sectors.
  • Significant single-stock declines such as ACS falling 5.06% to 108.90 highlight stock-specific downside risk within construction and services names.
  • Concentrated sector moves - with gains led by Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Financial Services & Real Estate - may leave other sectors exposed if sentiment shifts.
