Stitch Fix (NASDAQ:SFIX) saw its stock climb 2.3% on Wednesday after the company unveiled an expansion to its AI-powered style visualization product.
The newly added self-image functionality for Stitch Fix Vision enables clients to create personalized images of themselves wearing outfits the service recommends. Users who want to preview recommendations as if they were wearing them can select "See it on me" while browsing outfit suggestions inside the Stitch Fix Freestyle experience.
Vision, which the company initially introduced in October 2025, produces tailored images of clients in curated outfits that reflect a customer’s style profile and prevailing trends. The platform also supplies weekly outfit ideas that depict clients’ likenesses in different looks and environments.
According to the company, customers access the new capability by uploading a selfie via the Stitch Fix mobile application. Each generated image is then saved to the client’s Vision gallery, creating a personal library of visual style inspiration that can be revisited later.
"Personalization has always been at the heart of the Stitch Fix experience, and we re building toward a future where clients can see themselves reflected throughout every step of their shopping journey," said Matt Baer, CEO of Stitch Fix.
The firm said the upgrade is intended to help clients explore new styles and identify additional ways to wear items they already own. The feature is integrated across the Freestyle experience so customers encounter the option while viewing outfit recommendations.
The announcement and associated product expansion were followed by the modest uptick in the companyquity price, reflecting market reaction to the product news.
How it works
- Clients upload a selfie through the Stitch Fix app to activate the feature.
- When viewing recommended outfits, selecting "See it on me" generates images of the client in those outfits.
- Generated images are stored in the client Vision gallery for ongoing reference and inspiration.
The release does not provide additional details on rollout timing beyond the feature vailability within the Freestyle experience, nor does it include data on adoption rates or longer-term commercial impact.
