Wells Fargo Lowers Ratings on Major Packaged-Food Names, Flags Earnings and Leverage Risks
Wells Fargo downgraded Conagra Brands, The Campbell's Company and General Mills to Underweight, saying a combination of earnings downside, elevated leverage and compressed dividend ratios could leave the group vulnerable to underperformance. The bank trimmed price targets for all three names and flagged the potential for leverage above 4x by 2027.
