SentinelOne (NYSE:S) shares rose about 2% on Wednesday after the company and Google Cloud unveiled an enlarged multi-year strategic collaboration to jointly develop integrated security offerings.
Under the expanded agreement, SentinelOne will pair its endpoint detection and response technology and AI-native security platform with Google Cloud’s infrastructure and threat intelligence capabilities. The stated objective of the partnership is to produce solutions that meet data sovereignty requirements while supporting enterprises as they adopt generative AI.
As part of the rollout, SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform is now available in three Google Cloud regions - North America, Frankfurt and Saudi Arabia. The firms said the broader regional footprint is meant to enable in-country data residency and better alignment with applicable regional regulatory frameworks.
"Security teams are under growing pressure to defend increasingly complex environments and protect their highly sensitive data while reducing operational friction," said Melissa Smith, SVP of Global Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives at SentinelOne. "With Google Cloud, we have chosen a highly secure and sophisticated platform for a data sovereignty strategy, and a strategic partner for intelligence sharing."
Both companies indicated they will work to develop AI security solutions intended to protect the full AI stack. SentinelOne, which is already an established Google Security partner, maintains integrations across Google Security Operations, Google Threat Intelligence and Chrome Enterprise.
The collaboration will integrate SentinelOne’s endpoint detection and response offerings, security controls for AI applications and its AI-native platform with Google Cloud infrastructure. The companies said customers should expect closer operational workflows designed to consolidate security tooling around enhanced endpoint detection and response and an autonomous security operations center.
The announcement centers on technology integration, regional availability and joint development of AI-focused protections, with the aim of helping customers keep sensitive data within required jurisdictions and streamline security operations in environments that increasingly rely on AI-enabled capabilities.
