Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) retreated 2.10% or 8.00 points to settle at 372.90, and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) fell 1.76% or 3.00 points to 167.60.

Commodities contributed to the market backdrop. Crude oil for September delivery dropped 4.33% or 3.48 to $76.86 a barrel. Brent oil for October delivery fell 3.88% or 3.25 to $80.52 a barrel. Precious metals moved in the opposite direction, with the December Gold Futures contract up 1.22% or 49.97 to trade at $4,140.47 a troy ounce.

Currency moves were modest. The euro traded higher versus the Norwegian krone, with EUR/NOK up 0.30% to 11.00. The dollar also strengthened slightly against the krone as USD/NOK rose 0.16% to 9.55. Separately, the US Dollar Index Futures was reported unchanged at 99.78.
