Sector-level advances in Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities were the chief contributors to the day's upside, helping push select large-cap names to notable gains.

- Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) rose 2.39% - gaining 4.80 points to close at 205.80.
- Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.34%, or 10.70 points, to finish at 468.90.
- Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) was up 2.23%, a 1.75-point increase to 80.35 at the close.
Lagging names
- Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) fell 1.37%, down 2.80 points to end at 201.40.
- Cmb.Tech NV (OL:CMBT) declined 0.99%, or 1.80 points, closing at 179.60.
- Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) slipped 0.44%, a 0.42-point move to 94.00 at the close.
Market breadth
Advancers narrowly outnumbered decliners on the Oslo Stock Exchange, with 127 stocks up versus 126 down. An additional 26 issues finished unchanged.
Commodities and FX
- Crude oil for October delivery rose 1.27% - up 1.16 to trade at $92.64 a barrel.
- Brent for November delivery increased 0.68%, a 0.66 rise to $97.66 a barrel.
- The December Gold Futures contract fell 0.83%, down 37.30 to trade at $4,439.30 a troy ounce.
- EUR/NOK was essentially unchanged, moving 0.03% to 10.75.
- USD/NOK was also flat, changing 0.02% to 9.25.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34%, trading at 98.81.
