Risks

  • Concentrated sector weakness - declines in Industrials and consumer sectors could pressure related stocks and sector indices.
  • Commodity price volatility - the sharp drop in gold and the strong rise in U.S. crude introduce uncertainty for resource-linked companies and investor sentiment.
  • Market breadth skew - a larger number of declining names versus advancers indicates uneven market participation and potential for further downside pressure.
