Risks

  • Market concentration risk - sharp moves in a small number of large-cap stocks can influence the index level and volatility, affecting sectors such as Banking and Wholesale & Retail Trade.
  • Commodity price volatility - declines in gold and rises in crude oil could influence inflationary pressures and sentiment, with implications for energy and materials sectors.
  • Currency fluctuations - movements in USD/TRY and EUR/TRY can affect import/export margins and foreign-denominated liabilities for Turkish companies, particularly in banking and corporate sectors.
