Risks

  • Volatility in energy markets - Brent and US crude posted sharp intraday declines, which can affect energy-sensitive sectors and broader market sentiment.
  • Divergent individual stock performance - while the index reached a record, several large names such as Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) ended lower, introducing idiosyncratic risk for portfolios concentrated in these names.
  • Currency fluctuations - movements in EUR/USD and EUR/GBP alongside a softer US Dollar Index Futures could create FX-related uncertainty for exporters and internationally exposed firms.
