FuboTV said it is building a user-configurable Multiview experience for select LG smart TVs, aiming to bring the feature to LG devices in time for the 2026 football season. The feature supports up to four simultaneous live channels, is customizable across all Fubo channels, and already exists on Apple TV and some Roku units.

Key Points

  • FuboTV is developing a user-configurable Multiview feature for select LG smart TVs, aiming for availability before the 2026 football season.
  • Multiview supports streaming up to four live channels at once and is customizable across all channels on the Fubo service, differentiating it from some fixed multiview implementations.
  • The rollout will target compatible LG 4K and 8K models from 2024, 2025 and newer; the feature is already available on Apple TV and selected Roku devices.

FuboTV Inc. (NYSE:FUBO) confirmed on Thursday that it is developing its Multiview feature for a selection of LG smart televisions, with the company expecting the functionality to be available on LG sets before the 2026 football season.

The Multiview offering permits subscribers to stream as many as four live channels at once and to configure the layout and channel selection to their preference. Unlike certain multiview implementations on competing platforms that provide fixed viewing arrangements, Fubo's version is fully user-configurable and applies across the service's channel lineup.

Originally launched by the sports-first streaming provider in 2020, Multiview is already supported on Apple TV and on selected Roku devices. The current development effort targets LG TVs from the 2024 and 2025 model years, as well as newer LG 4K and 8K televisions that meet compatibility requirements.

"Multiview, one of our fan-favorite features, is expected to arrive on LG TVs in time for football season," said Isaac Josephson, senior vice president of product management at Fubo. "With Multiview on Fubo, LG consumers will be able to personalize their own streaming experience, no matter what type of content they want to watch."

The company described the forthcoming LG rollout as a development initiative rather than a completed release, and it framed the timing as an expectation tied to the football season in 2026. The platform's existing Multiview capability, in operation since 2020 on other connected-TV devices, will serve as the functional baseline for the LG implementation.

For viewers who prioritize simultaneous live coverage - including sports fans tracking multiple games or events - the Multiview functionality offers a way to consolidate viewing into a single screen while retaining control over which channels occupy each quadrant. The expansion to LG hardware concentrates on more recent models capable of supporting higher-resolution displays, specifically 4K and 8K televisions from the 2024 and 2025 lineups and newer.

The announcement positions Fubo to reach LG's smart TV user base with a feature the company considers distinctive because of its full customizability and its availability across all Fubo channels. At the same time, the rollout is described in terms of development and expected timing rather than as an already completed launch.

Summary

FuboTV is developing a user-configurable Multiview feature for select LG smart TVs, targeting availability ahead of the 2026 football season. The feature allows up to four live channels to be streamed simultaneously and will be supported on specified 2024, 2025 and newer LG 4K and 8K models. Multiview has been available on Apple TV and selected Roku devices since its 2020 introduction.

Risks

  • Timing uncertainty - Fubo describes availability on LG TVs as an expectation tied to the 2026 football season, indicating the launch schedule could change. This affects consumers and the consumer electronics and streaming sectors.
  • Limited device compatibility - initial support is scoped to select LG 2024, 2025 and newer 4K and 8K models, which may restrict near-term adoption and impacts the smart TV and streaming device markets.
  • Development status - the feature is in development for LG TVs rather than already deployed, leaving open the risk that technical or integration issues could delay or alter the planned rollout, affecting streaming service providers and content distributors.
