Market breadth on the Athens Stock Exchange was tilted to the downside, with 65 stocks falling versus 39 that advanced, and 24 unchanged.

Commodities traded with mixed results during the session. Gold Futures for August delivery declined 0.50% or 21.79 to trade at $4,343.51 a troy ounce. In energy markets, Crude oil for July delivery climbed 1.45% or 1.31 to $91.85 a barrel, and the August Brent contract rose 1.85% or 1.72 to trade at $94.81 a barrel.

Currency moves were modest. EUR/USD was effectively unchanged, noted as 0.12% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.13% to 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures eased 0.08% to 99.97.
