Market breadth was mixed at the close, with 60 stocks falling compared with 39 that advanced, and 4 issues left unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) moved to a five-year high during the session, with the stock up 2.44% or 0.75 to 31.31 at the close.

The AEX Volatility measure, which reflects implied option volatility for the AEX, was unchanged on the session, holding steady at 21.09.
