NEW YORK, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Getty Images (NYSE: GETY), a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, has once again been named the Official Photographer of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), taking place from September 10 to September 20, renewing a longstanding partnership with one of the world’s leading film festivals.

As the Official Photographer of TIFF, Getty Images’ award-winning entertainment photographers will deliver high-quality, trusted imagery from the festival’s red carpet premieres, screenings, parties, the Tribute Gala and “In Conversations With” programming, capturing key moments from exclusive vantage points throughout the festival. All images will be distributed exclusively through gettyimages.com, providing media organizations, brands and talent with immediate access to trusted, rights-cleared visuals from the festival.

Getty Images is also continuing its support of TIFF’s Every Story fund, an initiative to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in film, by donating a portion of the proceeds generated from pre-selected red carpet premieres. Every Story aims to challenge the status quo, celebrate diverse storytellers, build inclusive audiences, and create opportunities for creators through TIFF’s year-round programming.

“We’re proud to build on our longstanding partnership with TIFF and support its commitment to champion diverse voices and creators in front of and behind the camera,” said Ken Mainardis, Global Head of Editorial at Getty Images. “At a time when accuracy, attribution and transparency are increasingly important, we are committed to providing media, brands and talent with trusted visual content that fuels editorial and commercial storytelling around the festival via the creativity and expertise of our world-renowned creators.”

Getty Images holds an extensive TIFF archive dating back to 1985 including imagery from The Toronto Star collection. In addition to the partnership with TIFF, Getty Images provides unmatched scale in capturing and distributing rights-cleared visual content across 70,000 entertainment events each year, spanning awards, fashion, film and global cultural moments, while partnering with major brands on creative content strategy.

Throughout TIFF, talent, producers, directors and creators can also access festival visuals in real time via Access by Getty Images for personal social media needs. This unique platform enables users to quickly browse, license and share high-quality, accurate, rights-cleared content instantly, giving talent and industry professionals greater control over how they appear on social media in real time. Risks

  • Reliance on high-profile event partnerships creates exposure to potential cancellations or shifts in festival dynamics, impacting content supply and revenues.
  • Competition from other visual content providers and changing media consumption habits could affect Getty Images' market share in entertainment photography.
  • Economic downturns or declines in advertising spend may reduce demand for premium event imagery and related commercial content.
