Freight Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRGT) launched AI POD Validation, an artificial intelligence module integrated into its Fleet Rocket Transportation Management System. This new tool automates the reading and verification of proof-of-delivery documents, addressing inefficiencies caused by varied formats used by warehouses, carriers, and customers. The module improves operational accuracy and reduces manual labor by indicating if documents are approved, require review, or are rejected, complete with confidence scores and explanations. This innovation aligns with the company's shift to a SaaS-based, software-first model focused on the U.S.–Mexico freight corridor.

Key Points

  • AI POD Validation automates proof-of-delivery document verification, reducing manual review time and errors in freight logistics.
  • The module is part of Freight Technologies' broader AI-driven Fleet Rocket platform, enhancing operational efficiency for brokers, shippers, and logistics operators primarily in the USMCA trade region.
  • Freight Technologies is expanding its SaaS-based software solutions, targeting enhanced digitization and automation across supply chain processes, impacting freight transportation, logistics tech, and cross-border trade sectors.

HOUSTON, Sept. 18, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Freight Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRGT, "Fr8Tech" or the "Company"), a technology-centric logistics company offering a diversified portfolio of AI software solutions designed to address key inefficiencies in the supply chain, today announced the launch of AI POD Validation, a new artificial intelligence module within its Fleet Rocket Transportation Management System (TMS) that automatically reads and verifies proof-of-delivery (“POD”) documents and flags those that do not meet validation requirements.

PODs are essential logistics documents that close out shipments and provide carriers with evidence for payment. However, warehouses, carriers and customers all use their own formats, complicating data matching, stamping, signatures and other critical approvals. AI POD Validation, developed by Fr8Tech's in-house AI Lab, is designed to perform those reviews automatically. It receives the document, references the shipment record and returns a verdict (Approved, Review or Rejected), a confidence score and the supporting evidence, which are all displayed next to the POD in the shipment record. Operations teams can then focus on only those documents requiring review.

"Every shipment ends with a piece of paper that someone has to read, compare and approve. Multiply that by thousands of shipments a month and you have one of the most repetitive, expensive and error-prone tasks in freight operations," said Javier Selgas, Chief Executive Officer of Freight Technologies. "This is exactly the kind of repetitive work we built our AI Lab to resolve. AI POD Validation lets the software handle the mundane reading and matching, and empowers people to manage important customer and vendor relationships."

Key capabilities within the AI POD Validation module include multi-model signature and stamp detection with consensus filtering, structured optical character recognition (“OCR”) that preserves label-to-value relationships, spatial document understanding that matches pickup numbers, bills of lading, carrier names and invoice data against the Fleet Rocket load, bilingual stamp interpretation of English and Spanish, automatic document-quality checks and fully explainable decisions that show operations teams exactly why each document was approved, flagged for review or rejected.

AI POD Validation is available to Fleet Rocket customers as part of the Enterprise version and joins the AI Tendering Bot and the Zayren.ai integration as capabilities within Fleet Rocket’s transportation management platform. The Company expects to extend the same document-intelligence approach to other freight documents, including carrier invoices and bills of lading, as part of its transition to a software-first, SaaS-based business serving the U.S.–Mexico corridor.
